Who Can Apply

Those working in the field of translation; professional translators, academics providing education in the field, translation companies, editors, publishers, young translator candidates who are newly entering the profession with education in translation, researchers focusing on the translation sector, in short, anyone who will add value to our sector can become a member of our association.

To become a member, one must:
– Be at least 18 years old,
– Be a Turkish citizen or a foreign national residing within the borders of the Republic of Turkey,
– Be working in any area of the translation field,
– Have no legal impediment to membership in associations,
– Agree to be involved in initiatives for the translation sector,
– Commit to participate in activities that will sustain the development of our sector.

Legal entity members are required to provide the following documents:
– Tax Certificate,
– Officially stamped and signed authorization letter from the company representing itself,
– Copy of ID,
– Receipt of entrance fee and membership dues payment,
– Company Logo (to be sent electronically),
– Signed reference letters from 3 translators.

Documents required for translator membership:
– Copy of ID,
– Criminal record check,
– (If available) Oath document,
– Diploma or certificate indicating language proficiency,
– Proof of residence,
– 2 passport-sized photos,
– Receipt of entrance fee and membership dues payment,
– Signed and stamped reference letters from 3 translation companies.

After submitting the necessary documents to our headquarters at Meşrutiyet Mah. Konur Sok. 25/12 Çankaya/Ankara, membership review will be conducted. Following approval, eligible businesses will be notified. Upon receipt of the notification, businesses can complete their membership by sending proof of entrance fee and annual fee payment to the association’s account via email.
